Why you need a dark ND filter

I was looking for some birds but couldn’t find any so I sat down, took my ND filter and shut off the light to get some nice blur.

40D – ISO100 – 30 s – f/16 – Sigma 10-20mm@18 mm – ND1.8

40D – ISO100 – 1 s – f/2.8 – Sigma 150 mm – ND 1.8 + Circular Polarizer

It’s so much fun to blur water. Especially when you can open up the aperture to get thin DOF and motion blur.
