I had a great day searching for some nice places and found a great, lonely valley.
Sadly I had no luck with the birds but there were hundreds of butterflies so I concentrated on shooting them 
EN: Common Brimstone – female (top, white) and male (bottom, yellow) / DE: Zitronenfalter – Weibchen (oben, weiß) und Männchen (unten, gelb)
40D – ISO400 – 1/1600 s – f/5.6 – 420mm
40D – ISO400 – 1/1600 s – f/5.6 – 420mm

Nymphalis antiopa: EN: Mourning Cloak / DE: Trauermantel
40D – ISO200 – 1/400 s – f/8 – 600mm
Also no idea what they are… but I think I know what they are doing

I really like that one… don’t know why really.

And last but not least – a lizard

All pictures with 150mm macro @f/10-16, ISO400 and 430EX flash.
After dripping a little water on the hot plate they dance around for a while.
Hovering around on a cushion of steam
And finally the drop evaporates completely
